          En este drama romántico con toques de comedia, el humor que buscamos no es tópico ni fácil, sino más bien soterrado, seco. Víctor y Berta son dos treintañeros incapacitados para relacionarse de forma normal con sus semejantes. Una fobia al contacto físico impide a Berta tener relaciones sexuales. A pesar de eso, ansía ser madre. Recurre a Víctor, ginecólogo, un antiguo compañero de instituto al que hace muchos años que no ve.  Víctor es también un solitario repleto de traumas.

La primera parte es un falso documental que narra los experimentos del científico sueco Aakon Akermann y su relación con Amelia Haftemberger. En la segunda, un debate de televisión se centra en la figura del poeta inglés Nicholas Famelus. La última parte, con el filósofo austriaco Andreas Watermann como protagonista, es una película oscura que narra la tortuosa historia de amor y celos entre el filósofo y Amelia. Una mezcla de formatos que se contradicen: ¿es posible conocer la verdad?

        VIANDS was a short film with a good international run. It was selected in 150 festivals and awarded in ten countries. However, it was always a feature film project. Between black comedy and thriller, one of the challenges of the film is to combine humor, suspense and terror. Another, a subtle evolution where what seemed like paradise gradually transforms into hell. The feature film project has been selected for the Ibermedia Film Project Development Challenge, the Co-Production Workshop of Havana and the Co-Production market in Guadalajara, Mexico.

          Short film made in co-production with France, QUADRILATERAL functioned as a presentation and rehearsal for what will later become a feature film. Starring Mathieu Amalric, Jordi Dauder and Silvia Marsó, the short film won numerous international awards. Now, with the title QUARTET (which we consider more suited to the musical tone of the story), we decided to undertake the idea of ​​an unhappy, unrequited love, converted into a musical structure in the form of a “rondo”. The prominence of each character occurs throughout the four seasons of the year, as if they were solo instruments accompanied by counterpoints. We could define this film as a kind of musical without songs. The musical aspect of the film is fundamental, since all its characters are related to music.
